  • It’s All About Soul: Creating a Soul Map

\What if we turned every time we got into a funk an opportunity to be funky? Join us for an experimental hop on the soul train where we create a physical map of people, places and things that refuel our soul in moments of depletion. If you lived through the pandemic, or any phase of life, you’ve realized that life comes in waves. Some moments you might be riding high and in others you might feel like life’s thrashing and crashing around you. In these down moments, it’s helpful to have a repository of soul food to draw on. In this hour and a half together, we will create our very own Soul train maps of stations that we can visit to refuel us when we’re feeling depleted. This map will turn into a one-page-book made from a single piece of paper. We’ll share our respective Soul Trains to beg, borrow, and steal from other’s soul re-fueling stations -- to get a small window into one another’s souls. Please join us on this experimental journey.

  • What do you want to be when you grow up? We might get older, but this question certainly doesn’t. And that's just the type of question that Gabrielle Santa-Donato inspects in her many applications of design thinking and human development from Stanford's Life Design Lab to Airbnb's Learning team. Gabrielle created the Life Design Studio, training hundreds of universities globally to integrate life design into their curriculums. Her goal? To help people discover their unique learning potential. In her spare time, Gabrielle likes jumping in freezing water, biking on trails, dancing hip hop, and writing poetry.
